Blimey, £150 refund from Southern Energy. I had a little kitty that has built up due to using 37% less gas (thanks to the warmer weather) so £50 more in the EF. £900 to go :)

  • Hi all, it's been a long time since I popped in!

Still doing my EF, although it's not very high at the moment as I've had to dip into it from time to time but that's what it's there for, right?!

Currently have a SO transferring regular amounts each month, after I've got my car fund sorted I'll bec able to put more into my EF :)

I'll try to pop in more often this year x

Sorry, haven't been on here for a few days. Things have been a bit 'crazy' family-wise.

Welcome to our two newest members. You will find your numbers in post #1.

I must be the only person on here who has to weara raincoat when working INSIDE their place of work.

Arrived this morning to big pools of water everywhere where the roof leaks. A year back they had 2 people up on the roof trying to fix the leaks but they have made it worse.
Mind you, when the boss questioned the maintanence man about the leaks, he replied 'well, it is caused by the wrong type of rain'.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

    Morning everyone,

Finally made a small start have added £25 to my emergency fund which now stands at £32/1000 - was completely depleted before November.

Going to get aggressive Half way through January, as I want to change jobs by the end of match. Currently on a temporary contract and plan to move to another temp role (not looking for a perm role until next Jan) as soon as possible. Once I have completed my £1000 emergency fund I am going to move over to the 3-6 month emergency fund.

Oh Patman the "wrong" type of rain?! That's hilarious. I hope the rain stops (or you get the right type) soon or you'll be wading through work!

Well I have finally managed to chip away at my EF and now have a grand total of £175.69!!!
I have been adding the off £1 here and there where I can and have now set up a DD of £17.50 which are my contacts that are currently suspended until July.
I have also added the last bit of my Christmas money as it's better in here then wasting it on something I don't need!!!!

My main goal at the moment is to get to £500 (seems more attainable) then i'll creep upto £1000.

My heating is not working at the moment but i'm using the money I have saved on my car insurance (got it cheaper then expected) to pay the fee for this!! Hopefully it will not cost anymore as I really really want to build this little pot up!

Well done to everyone who's started, completed or currently chipping away!

Patman had at least 3 yrs of a leaky roof in my office. Kicked off big time beginning October and now have a new roof. It was causing me chest infections as it was running down the walls. Loving being dry.

15.00 added to EF for me today Thanks x
