For a few seconds on Saturday I was mentally spending 'our' winnings:rotfl:. I say 'our' but it was OH's ticket, although I'm sure he'd have shared his millions with me, Scrooge though he normally is;).
The first 3 numbers that came out were the first three on his line, what an amazing adrenaline rush that was;). But he didn't have any after that:mad:
Congratulations to the winners, though:T. How their lives will change:beer:0 -
Small update to say I've added a small amount to my EF at last:j
Cancelled DD for our local daily paper which only OH bothered to read and then only once in a while:(. Am intending to add this amount to my EF instead, even add a bit to make it a nice round £20 a month. Have done a transfer to add this amount to my EF now and have organised the DD for the rounded-up £20 for my cancelled pet insurance plus £20 rounded up for the cancelled newspaper cost to go into my EF savings account on the first of the month. I know £40 a month isn't massive by some people's standards but it seems like it to me and I'm quite chuffed with myself:j
Had some good sales on eBay last week so if I don't need the proceeds for immediate expenses;) I'll put some of that in the EF at the end of the month.
The one-day leaflet delivery job I was booked for last week got cancelled so no money to add from that:(. Didn't get soaking wet doing it though so that was a bonus:rotfl:
I still have a dead washing machine though and should buy my new specs soon although can probably manage Ok with my old ones for the time being. Why is a relatively simple life like mine so expensive?
Forgot to mention I have to attend a friend's funeral next week but fortunately it's family flowers only so that has saved a bit. The family haven't specified donations in lieu but I can always get OH to write a cheque (I don't have a chequebook) and I'll reimburse him later. Not too far away either so petrol isn't going to be a problem. Terrible to have to think of money at a time like this:o0 -
Booo on the leafleting job. Hopefully your ebay sales will go well-enough to make up the short-fall.
Am home with a cold today. Having prepped and packed everything in site yesterday, 3 of us had the mad idea that it would speed up the loading of our double-deck trailor somewhat if we sorted the pallets we had to go on to it into pairs by length.
So, door wide open for the entire afternoon as we worked in the cold moving pallets and we even tidied up the yard to boot. So not surprised i now have a stinker of a cold.Never Knowingly Understood.

Still off work. Hope to return tomorrow so will at least have 2 paid days this week.
To get back to the financial position I would have been in without the time off would mean 16 hours of overtime which is not possible unless I get a contract extension.Never Knowingly Understood.
