Excellent to read new additions, wasn't planning to read this wee savings challenge until last week Jan.
With 1 shift left tomorrow, 1 week off work, i'm facing my 1st 'challenge' with car service next week.
Thinking 1 or 2 tyres required after 2 years driving.
My current savings balance is as was mentioned prior to xmas £170.
Not certain if I'll manage to add this month, though determined at the very least keep as is until Feb.
Time flies though i'm as determined as ever to keep this challenge going through 2016.Replenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
Hi everyone,
Well it is still slow going for me - only managed to put £25 towards savings so now at £57/£1000. Hoping to ramp this up over the next few weeks as now moved over to working full time.
Hoping to finish this goal by the end of February so that I can move on to the big 3-6 months emergency fund.

As I have said right from the beginning. This is a stroll and not a race.
Anyway January2015, congrats on hitting the target.
2 good months coming up for those of us who pay our Council Tax in 10 instalments. We have 2 months 'off' before we start again. This is money that I will put in my 3-6 months fund.Never Knowingly Understood.

Ha excellent quote funny how i've often thought I'll have extra with no council tax Feb and March yet it's often spent prior to AprilReplenished CRA Reports.2020 Nissan Leaf 128-149 miles top charge. Savings depleted. VM Stream tv M250 Volted to M350 then M500 since returned to 1gb0 -
I just caught up on some posts in this thread and am impressed at how well everyone is doing.
I joined a while ago but I haven't focused on this challenge because I have been paying down debt aggressively. However, now that my total is getting to closer to £0 (and all my debt is 0%) I want to start putting money aside for an emergency fund - I only have £50 saved so far. I will try to check in at least once a month from now on.2023 Mortgage-Free Wannabe #19: £11,675.68/£13,000

Well done, everyone, as ever:T
Welcome back, Bored:beer:. You can do it.
I sold some more clutter at a village table-top sale on Saturday. It never fails to amaze me what people will buy:rotfl:. It was only a low-key affair but I was pleased to make £37.90 profit after fees etc.:j
I can't afford to save it all:o and have set aside some of the loose change for my float for next time, plus I've potted some coins into my sealed pot as part of another challenge so won't be adding that to this challenge.
However much of the rest (the notes anyway) that I have left by the end of the month will definitely be going into this EF pot. Could be anything between £25 and zilch:eek:. I already have a DD for £40 set up to go in on the first of next month anyway but I struggle to find any extra to add to it as a rule. I'll reach that £1000 target or bust;).0 -
More topcashback moved to payable status, £1.91, rounded up to £2. Slow and steady.£56/2790

Forgot to mention that yesterday was a big spend day.
I had to buy a new pull cord for a light unit and whilst at Screwfix, I popped into the charity shop next to it and spent £1.50 on a money counting jar.Never Knowingly Understood.
