  • Managed to put £221 in my emergency fund which now stands at £798. I was hoping to put more in but the car needs an MOT and then I have my TV licence due which I like to pay in one go and forget about.

Hoping to complete this by next week and move on to my big 3-6 month EF which is going to take some time so will be going steady on that.

Not loving my job at the moment but need to have a decent EF in place and won't jump until I have something else better lined up.

Everyone is doing so well and this is keeping me motivated.

We don't beat people up for using their EF. Quite the opposite. If you have had to use part/all of your EF, then you have used it for what it is intended for.

Anyway, car went in for MOT yesterday and passed with flying colours. Whilst at the garage I sked about a print-out of the service history for my dad's car as I had a potential buyer for it. The garage owner looked at the photos of the car I had taken when I listed them on ebay and matched the price the buyer had offered AND through in my MOT for free, so a win-win.

Now at £192 after a few items sold on ebay and further TCB payouts.

I'll round it up and add another £50 when I get paid to get me a quarter of the way.
    £56/279
  • I decided to use my EF to pay off some debts that were getting me down. I'm sad to see it go but at least it was used productively. Back to the EF drawing board for me.
