    Hi all,

I am using Chrome and every time I come onto the forums (not on every page though, tends to just be once a visit) my PC freezes for about 5 seconds and then continues as usual.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any ideas on what could be causing it or a solution. I don't remember it happening on any other sites.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thank God -I thought I was going mad, glad I am not the only one with this issue.

Seems to be getting worse for me. Windows 7 and Firefox.

Would anybody from MSE like to comment on this widespread problem? Or is it just another case of "shut up and put up" like the fixed width forums?

They did show up on this thread here where the same problems were first brought to their attention https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3866149 was also mentioned on the thread to try blocking the spyware on this forum by changing your security to the high setting. This seems to improve it dramaticaly but you pay the penalty in other ways.

REALLY bad for me today, total lockup of pc for over a minute, thought I was going to have to force a shutdown.
Just out of interest I have noticed that the ASDA direct site does this to me too.

Just this site that's the problem to me. PC freezes for a minute when I come here. Never found this anywhere else.

Yup - I've been getting the same too - when I want to log onto threads it can take up to a minute to get there as my system says 'not responding' Don't get it with any other site. Its spoiling my enjoyment of the Forums - I could make a cup of tea sometimes it takes so long!
