Steps to take after more details being used / stolen?
Ok so recently I had a load of Nectar points used by someone somewhere. Thankfully Nectar agreed they weren't by me & they sorted me out with new cards & a reimbursement. My wife has an additional card to my account yet it was my card that was used so Nectar said. After asking about this I was told that this was a bit of a…

Sending devices with rechargeable batteries internationally
I'm thinking of buying a basic/children's-type camera for a young relative in Switzerland. It would be a brand new product still in original packaging. Does anyone know whether there is any prohibition in place regarding this?

Hypothetical charger disaster
We have several chargers plugged in next to each other, and the leads inevitably get tangled up. Given that usb-c charger cables have the same plug at each end, there’s scope to make the mistake of plugging a cable into two different chargers by mistake. Ahem, what will happen? A big flash bang, or the system will cope?

I'm still running Windows 7 Pro quite happily and with no great problems. Can anyone tell me what the clicking sequence is to find this? All the 'help' I…

Microsoft account and new Windows computer: am I at risk?
I have had a Hotmail account for years, and it mainly attracts SPAM. However, it seems to have 'morphed' into a Microsoft account and is also what I use for Skype (on which I have a very small credit). So when I recently bought a new Windows 11 computer and found that I needed to sign in to a Microsoft account in order to…

Also one where you can buy compatible ink on eBay for…

Microsoft Office 2010 v 2024
I've recently bought a new PC (not yet set it up). I currently use Microsoft Office Home 2010 on my old PC, but I was going to buy Office 2024 for my new PC because I was getting messages telling me that, because 2010 is no longer supported, it's not particularly safe. Can anyone advise whether it's safer to buy the 2024…
