Charging a RC car battery

I am trying to charge a Tamiya RC car - and on charging the LiPo battery - I discovered that the charger does not illuminate its LED...
It is a 6 cell (1.2Ah) battery pack and a Fusion NX84 charger with a 2 colour LED that is supposed to display green when plugged in and red when charged...
Any  suggestions ?
How long should I charge the battery for, before giving up ?

A bit of diagnosis is required and appropriate equipment.
I assume you do not have access to a spare charger!

First I would measure the battery voltage the car has currently.
If that is OK ( close to nominal) I would check to see if there are any fuses in the car.
And then check all battery charging connections for damage, breakages, corrosion.

If non or OK then check the charger output.

I do not know the particular charger but if it is 'smart' than that might not be easy. Take care if you need to open the case to do that as it will need mains power and there could be a shock risk.
Further check the charging cable ( power off on the charger!) and connector for continuity.

    Hope that helps for starters.

It was the LED on the charger that has failed
The battery charges as normal, just no indicator !
    I'll get a new charger !

No balance charge?   I would not ruin a 6S pack with a cheap charger that does not have balance charging.
Or is it not a 6S pack?

How do you know that one of the cells is a lower voltage? It could be overcharging the rest of the pack.
