A little context: I am unemployed and am renting atm. I have abank account, no credit cards and I do not use the credit card function on my Bank/Debit card; Seeing as how this 'Stoozing' thing is 0% Interest and I have seen that some people use it to profit, how in theory could one generate a small amount of money from it?…

Cash withdrawal abroad on Barclaycard affects your credit score.
If you use Martin's advise to withdraw cash abroad using your Barclaycard Rewards card you will, as he says, pay no interest if it is repaid in full. However, be aware that it does affect your credit score, as withdrawing cash on a credit card is deemed to show a lack of organisation and poor forward financial planning. A…

Amex Chargeback Issue
I booked a holiday in August 2019 and paid a £400 deposit on my Amex. The holiday balance was paid in January 2020 (also using Amex) just before things started to go wrong with travel, so the holiday was delayed from March 2020 to March 2021. Then it was delayed again from 2021 to March 2022, in the meantime the…

MBNA identity theft concerns?
I recently took out an MBNA card because I am entering an Arctic endurance race and with Covid and other risks I wanted the costs to have added protection you get when paid on a credit card. So I have tried to make three payments all of which were declined. The first two meant sitting on hold for 45 minutes to get through…

Curve to start treating NS&I transactions as "Curve Fronted" from 7th October
Just in case anyone missed it, I recently had an email from Curve saying (among other things) that NS&I transactions will be treated as "Curve Fronted" with effect from 7th October. They are also capping Curve Fronted transactions to £10k per month for Metal customers.

The new MBNA offer
Does going via the MSE eligibility check adversely affect the outcome, rather than applying direct? I was expecting some reasonable figure for 27 months with the 1% charge (covered by the £30 cash-back). I was offered 14 months with a 3.49% charge with a credit limit that meant the net profit overall made the offer…

Running out of 0% providers to Stooze!
I've been stoozing with 0% cards for over 15 years now and have a draw full of dormant cards. I don't usually bother closing accounts and wait for the provider to close it for me when they realise the account hasn't been used for years! Now, I'm running out of providers that I haven't had a card from previously. Does…

Problems with HSBC credit card
I've come to dislike HSBC for its lack of ease to do normal things and the extreme difficulty getting anything concrete out of them. I have a new CC with them, the first DD was a couple of weeks ago. Checking that everything was in place for the DD from Lloyds to HSBC, I was shocked to see that the HSBC CC number showing…

M&S Credit Card Warning
I’m gutted. I took up an offer of a promotional rate of 0% in 2019 which ends in February 2022. Last August I was offered a further balance transfer at 0% rate for 12 months, ending this month August 2021. I’ve been paying more than the minimum monthly repayment so I could clear the offer which ends this month. However,…

Only one zero-fee 0% balance transfer card on market? Nab it quick or wait for others?
I need to do the 0% credit card shuffle again in June, I'd rather switch to a zero-fee balance transfer card so it costs me zilch, but I see there is only the Santander one listed. Is this really the only one out there? Should I nab it quickly before this deal ends (19th April), or wait for others? Is there a trend of…
