NatWest Group credit cards - what's the opening date?
Hi, I recently got a NatWest Credit Card with a 0% deal on - Balance Transfer (for 14months if done within 3 months from opening) - 0% purchases for 3 months from opening deal. I use the card for stoozing, so was thinking I can use the 0% purchases for the first 3 months to offset the minimum payment to maximise benefit. I…

Is stoozing worth it in this scenario…?
Hi everyone, I wonder if people can advise me if stoozing is worth it in the following scenario… I’ve recently opened a new 0% purchase credit card with M & S that I’m yet to use. I have an instant access savings account paying 5.2%. At present I do most of my day to day spending on my Chase debit card (and therefore get…

Money transfer offer: what max amount should I use?
I have a 20 month 0% interest money transfer offer for up to £5,400. My card limit is £6,000. Should I go for the full £5,400 or for less? I am not worried about the impact on my credit reference files as they are in good shape, and I won't need to apply for any loan / mortgage etc. The fee is 3%, and I can get a 6%18…

% Balance carry over from one stoozing card to the next
Hi all, I took out a 20 month 0% purchase credit card with a limit of around £9k that I expect to max out before the term ends. Ideally, I would then (if deals still exist and acceptance allows) transfer this to the longest 0% card with no fees, to continue stoozing. While my credit history has no faults, is good, and I do…

Mbna 24 months @ 6.9% no fee
Ive been offered the above deal as a money transfer deal. Is there anything to stop me taking it then immediately transferring the debt to a 0% card with no BT fee, to avoid the 6.9%?

Can you use the 0% credit card to pay off your mortgage or move money to your account?
The stoozing guide just says to use the card for your daily spending. The thing is, I don't spend and the biggest expense by far is my mortgage. Can't I use the 0% credit card to pay off my monthly mortgage payments somehow? I know withdrawing cash is not allowed (will incur interest) but that's not the same is it?

Cash Transfer fees
If I am offered to take out 10K in cash for 12 months, for a 5% fee, does the fee represent the interest rate, or is the effective interest rate higher. e.g. if the 500 is added to the 10K, my balance is 10.5K so that is 5% fee. However if what they mean is that I will only get 9.5K and £500 will be taken for the fee, then…

HSBC CC: reloading BT
Hello all, I'm coming up to the end of my promotional period with my HSBC credit card for my 0% interest no-fee balance transfer. Was wondering if anyone had any experience "reloading" another BT once the full balance is paid off? By which I mean - does HSBC tend to re-offer this 0% no-fee promo on the same card once the…

Bank transfer before moving cards
Hey Everyone, I am considering doing a bank transfer (approx £1k) ahead of moving to a new 0% deal in order to make a cash purchase. My plan is that although I will be charged a transfer fee for this, I will avoid the huge interest rates this would attract as I would be closing the account shortly after (and moving the…

Offers for BT or MT
My existing Barclaycard is offering me a 0% BT for 20 months (3.3% fee) or 0% MT 19 months (3% fee). I am tempted to take the MT and add it to my stooze. From looking at the ts and cs I believe I could do this now, then let the next DD go through for the previous statement total, cancel the DD, make a manual payment to…

Stoozing end of the line - Some Advice Please
Hi I have been stoozing for around 10 years, my current pot is £38K spread
over 8 cards. I'm now finding new offers on my existing cards drying up. In the past I
would empty a balance transfer card when it came to the end of its offer
period, leave if for a few months and then a new attractive offer would pop up.
I’ve an…

BT offers - 0%?
I took out a Lloyd's card in June with a 15k limit. Interest free till Nov 24. Currently it's sitting at 10k balance so I have a few more months before I need to switch/obtain another card. I've not stoozed before but at these rates it makes sense, as well I can rapidly pile up the stooze account as a some of that 10k is…

Thoughts wanted on BT offers
Hi I have £2000 I'd like to BT. I have the money to pay it off if needed. One credit card offering 0% interest 3.5% fee for 18 months so on £2,000 would be £70 fee. Could put this money in an 18 month bond at 6.05% AER so I calculate at the end of 18 months It would be £2185.16. So taking the fee and the capital off of…

Using Paypal to turbocharge Stoozing
Hi all Today I opened a Cahoot account and sent the majority of my money there. I then realised that I had a payment I needed to make, and it will take 7 days before my internet banking is up and running with Cahoot. Rather than call them and try and return some of the money over the phone, I instead decided to send some…

Question re timing
Well I decided to have a go at this, I think I'm doing everything right but would appreciate any comments from seasoned stoozers. I have been accepted for an RBS 0% balance transfer (for 16 months) zero fee card, and requested to transfer almost £6k balance from another card. I was previously intending to pay that balance…

New to stoozing
Ok, so I've never had a credit card before, but I've been looking into this stoozing for a while and feel it might be worth a go. I do have a mortgage, which has 3.5 years left of a 5 year fixed term. Will doing this affect me when remortgaging in the future? Also, if I do get a card, how do you pay off the minimum each…

Virgin Money money transfer offer - did I miss something?
Hi, I have recently got a credit card with Virgin Money that gives 0% on purchases until May 2024 and used only a small part of my credit limit there. They now offered me 0% balance or money transfer until Feb 2025 with a 2.5% fee, which is way better than the introductory offer (3% on balance transfer, 4 % on money…

New to stoozing - can I make a 0% interest one- off payment to British Gas?
Hi All. I’m a stoozing newbie, but read up on MSE advice and successfully applied for a Virgin Money card and a HSBC card (I didn’t mean to get both - long story but fine!) We owe British Gas £2000 because of paying too little on DD for ages; they have just put the DD up a lot to claw it back. I’d rather pay a lump sum and…

NatWest 0% Spending Card APR
I just got access to the app and it states that the APR is 23.9%, located under the credit limit - is this what others also see? The pre-contract email states that it's 0% for the first 23 months but the app says the APR is still 23.9. I'm just used to paying things off in full each month and just want to be sure, as I'm…
