Now rates are back up thought I would have another go at Stoozing

Just applied for the following 2 cards

Natwest 0% for 14 months with no fee, Credit Limit of £10k, balance xfer limit of £9,500
Tesco 0% for 15 months with 0.99% fee, Credit limit of £9,400, balance xfer limit of £8,930

I shall use my Halifax Clarity card (£15k limit) to transfer the money into my bank account and then do the balance transfers to the 2 new cards

Total fee for transferring is £88.41

Stick it all in my Tandem account at 5% and with compound interest should return
£1,144.13

Profit of £1055.72

I did the NatWest a few months ago, and also the RBS and Ulster Bank equivalents - got the same (9.5k) credit limit on all three cards. Also just opened Santander (0% for 12 months no fee), 10k limit.

Cheers, I'll have to check Santander, I didn't know they had a no fee card available.

Just applied for the Santander card.  Only a £5900 limit but it all adds up

So you're borrowing the money from the halifax card and transfer the debit to the natewest etc?

Yes that is correct.  The Halifax clarity card allows you to transfer 93% of your credit limit into your bank account with no fee.  The APR is 6.9% but as long as it is transferred to one of the 0% cards on the same day I will pay no fees at all for the money transfer.
  • I recently played that game, taking the Clarity money transfer Monday morning and then immediately doing a balance transfer to NatWest. I was charged £1.70 of interest, but not too bad anyway.
