Applying for 2 credit accounts in 1 month

I am travelling to the Caribbean in November and want to ramp up
my Virgin points. I applied and was approved for the Amex Platinum charge card this month. I now got marketing from Virgin and have realised they offer 15000 point sign up bonus for their virgin reward+ card. I went into the Virgin eligibility checker and it says I would be pre-approved for the card. How would it effect my credit history if I applied for this card as I have already applied for the Amex this month?

Another search would appear on your files.
It's not a big deal assuming you have a well managed file and are not generally desperate for credit or have another more important credit application in the coming few weeks.0 -
As zx81 says really, is there anything you really need to go through soon credit wise e.g. remortgage or essential purchase on finance? If not I wouldn’t give it a second thought. I tend to go through my finances in one go every few months so may take up several current account and credit card offers over a short time then nothing for a few months, doesn't seem to have done any harm. The only critical thing for me is my mortgage (fixed for 3yrs) every other application at the moment is just trying to gain a little: sign up bonuses, cashback/rewards, stoozing or trying to reduce broadband/mobile costs by a few £s.0
