Inappropriate language in today's newsletter
I can't believe that Martin feels that it is at all appropriate to begin today's newsletter with the following salvo of inappropriate language: "If stores tweak your spending nipples, and make you buy unplanned things, it's a loss." Please find a more civil & less offensive way of encouraging us to engage with your…

MSE News RSS feed been disabled?
Has the MSE News RSS feed been disabled? The last item I’ve seen is: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/2018/09/passport-applicants-hit-out-after-being-given-shorter-than-expec/ I use Newsify, blog.feedspot.com also shows the last item as 1 week ago.

My Cheap Energy Club account is broken!
Hi, Edge-case here. I initiated a switch over two months ago, and just contacted the new energy company today to query why I hadn't heard from them. They informed me that I had signed up with a direct debit, but it was before the National Electricity Board Database had updated that I no longer had a prepaid meter. So…

Mobile: Subscribing to threads
Did a quick search for the subject line, but obviously got too many hits about phone plans. On desktop there is this button which allows you to subscribe to a thread without actually posting to it: But on mobile i can't see the equivalent - the only way I can see to subscribe is to post something: Is it missing or am I…

**SEARCH FAULT - NOW SOLVED** - After FIFTEEN days everything is now OK
New posts created from 4am 25/10 to 4am today are not being returned in Search Results. An example in Site Feedback is the "Stretchy?" thread (just below this thread) which was posted 11:27pm 25/10. Suitable search terms that should show this thread are stretchy sunglasses headaches A better example is on Competitions…

So MSE when are you fixing the search function?
Only it's still !!!!!!ed, and there's been no more responses or updates to the thread already posted by One Eye. So if someone could give any sort of update. Or even an acknowledgement that there is still a problem that would be appreciated. Thank you.

Do we have a sub forum for loyalty cards?
I was wondering whether we have a sub forum to discuss loyalty cards such as nectar, tesco clubcard, asda more etc, and if not why?

stresssavingexpert.com
No Its not a real domain name I was thinking that we are quite dedicated to for wanting to save money but i was wondering whether saving stress could and should be more valualble to us. For me, if i knew there was better information out there to know what companies treat customers well, and i think thats more than just…

What user data does the MSE system gather?
The question derives from my recent discovery of the depth of user data harvesting of Facebook and Google

Stretchy?
Is it just me or have others noticed that the site has gone 'stretchy' again? - I have not downloaded anything or changed any settings on my computer. If it is just me I can put the sunglasses away as the glare used to give me headaches.

Deleted thread
... I'm a bit concerned. A non defamatory and evidenced thread re the above subject matter was posted yesterday on this MSE sub-forum and had some good constructive feedback and ongoing debate. Then out of the blue the thread is summarily deleted without good reason or explanation, and without me being notified by either…

Thread reporting?
Thread reporting - this is not a post about any specific thread. Who on here is proud they report threads? what do you think that thread is better locked or deleted? Conversely - who never reports threads no matter what the subject is? Why do you think this is better than censorship? Is there anything you would ever report?

Article on complaining to the Financial services ombudsman
I have just read the MSE article on complaining to the Financial services ombudsman (article /reclaim/fight-back-fos/) and believe that there is an omission which should be added to avoid confusion. FOS will not look at a complaint when you are not a customer of the firm you are complaining about. I know this as I have a…

Change to last month's report in Credit Club
I went back into my most recent credit club report, and noticed it had my current address listed as somewhere I've not lived for ages. Went back to the PDF of it I saved previously, it had my correct current address and the other address was in the history where it should be. Saved the PDF again from the online one, it…

"Wombling" and the law...
I wish to make a request for MSE to update and revise the information it provides on one of its most famous (or infamous) topics - namely "wombling". I feel it is (at best) irresponsible and arguably negligent for MSE to so vocally promote this activity when its legality and appropriateness is still in doubt. The main…

Credit Club getting less accurate
Hello, when I first signed up for the MSE Credit Club the report I got back matched up with reality but it has become more divorced from my actual situation as my finances have improved. I think there are a few possible reasons for this 1. my Tesco Bank products (two current accounts, two CC accounts) aren't seen by the…
