Ressurrection of old threads

Is it not possible to lock threads that haven't been posted on for say 4/5 months.

Normally they do it at about 2 years.0

But sometimes reposting can be relevant such as cases that go to an ombudsman etc as it can take that amount of time for a resolution. I don't believe it is that much of a problem.0
