Jargon and abbreviations
Please could all those that post to this forum resist the temptation to use jargon. Many people come to this forum to seek help, they are not experts and jargon does not help. You may know what a DC pension is, what CPI stands for, but please limit use of abbreviations and jargon. Kind Regards, Bill

Slow posting posts
Over the last few days whenever I've tried to add a post to a thread there's been a very long delay, 10-15 seconds between clicking post and and the post being posted. Linux Mint and Firefox if relevant.

How Do You Select/Highlight A Line Of Text In A Quote When Posting In A Thread?
The final object is to copy or make bold, a portion of a "quoted previous post", when responding to a thread? Hope this makes sense.

Hi all, it's a while since I've used this site and it's driving me mad. can anyone please tell me how I can find out a list of the posts I've made in the past. It's really peeing me off that I can't recall - not that it would make much difference as the layout seems different to what it used to be anyway. Please help

Is it time to stop encouraging people to buy thing they don't need?
I appreciate the Green Moneysaving tips but one of the main problems of overuse is people buying things they don't need. In 2012, 60% of TVs replaced still worked (Source Obsolescence fact check) Examples from the latest newsletter: Big Boots bundles including £150 No7 £40 Shark cordless vacuum codes £85 GHD hair…

warm home discount and power suppliers gone in 2021
I have had Warm Home Discount for the last 5 years and have applied for this, this years £140 same as when it started in 2011. But in July 2021 Avro was still my power suppliers so I do not qualify with Scottish Power ( not with them in July 2021) unless GB GOV step in ( or you). I think this will hit hundreds of…

Why do you keep closing the 'new forum' threads. Do you not want people to comment? Isn't that what a forum is supposed to be for?

Closing the Auto-enrolment sub-board
Hi Forumites, We’ve received some feedback recently suggesting we now close the Auto-enrolment sub-board, as posts often end up there by mistake. As a team, we’ve reviewed this and made the decision to close it. The Pensions, Annuities and Retirement Planning board will still remain and any relevant questions can still be…

Problems contacting the site by email.
Emailing the addresses fakead@moneysavingexpert.com and forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com have both just given a delivery failure notice. Is it their problem or mine?

Seasonal header
It is always a pleasure to see Martin in something seasonal - in the past I have pleaded for it & today spotted it along with happy 2022. I do know this isn't Martin's site anymore but am stubborn about some minor things. Saying thankyou being one of them. This site is a great source of new ideas, of comfort, of…

Give it a go - you can try filtering by date, category, author and lots of other things to narrow down your results. This is a brand new change and there are still…

Captcha when abroad makes site unusable
I go way a lot and can use this forum without issue wherever I am presumably because I'm logged in. When I go to the main site however, I have to select several pictures from two pages of photos to prove I'm a human. Is there no way that this could be cached so that when I've gone through the challenge once on a given…
