Combine notifications would improve the experience

I have notifications set to only appear when I’m on the webpage, so no emails or I would be overrun!

I do have rather a lot of threads set to notify a new post. Given that only 5 notifications are shown when you click on the “bell”, it would be helpful if the notifications for each thread could be combined eg my 5 notifications could be “you have 3 unread posts on thread X”, “you have 2 unread posts on thread Y”. What I have at the moment is “user A commented on thread X, “user B commented on thread X” etc so all my 5 notifications that I can see without having to fully open the notifications are usually just for one thread.

It would also be really useful if you could unsubscribe from notifications on certain threads.

Our forum software providers are making improvements to notifications - including the ability to unsubscribe from a specific thread - over the next few months. 

We're well aware that there's plenty of room for improvement with notifications on the forum, and we're looking forward to the new developments which will hopefully arrive not too long into 2023.
