I know that free Sunday parking in Glasgow city centre is being scrapped, but does anybody know when this will happen (or has it happened already)?

Sunday Parking in Glasgow City Centre
Hey, So not sure if a lot of you are aware but the parking has changed in a lot of places in Glasgow city centre. Monday to Sunday 8am -6pm you need to pay. I work on a Sunday and only just found out so this is very annoying! Also never noticed it had changed last week and left my car all day, thankfully didn't get a…

End of free Sunday parking in glasgow
Sorry, cross posted. From June 30th 2019 Glasgow parking charges will be extended to Sunday. (That was the only day I would go shopping in the city centre, so I wonder if it will affect the stores or not).

Glenrothes Good and Bad Areas
I am looking to buy a place in Glenrothes and I have checked your previous topics regarding the areas to stay away from in the town. I understand that Tanshall and Caskieberran are considered 'bad', but what about Cadham? Any advice would be highly appreciated :j

Dispute with roof seal company
I signed up to a deal offered on the doorstep on the basis that my next door neighbour was happy with the work done for him. I was offered roof cleaning, roof seal, pipe painting, cleaning of paths, painting around bottom of house and round door and window frames, all for a bargain price. On day one of the 'work', I was at…

Edinburgh - argument with neighbour
Hi, I need to fix an issue outside on my top floor flat however my downstairs neighbour installed a cat ladder which makes the access difficult. One plumber couldn’t access the area because he can’t put his ladder there due to the cat ladder. Another one more expensive can do it as he has special equipment. I gave her the…

Advice re property in Stirlingshire?
Hi We currently live in the north-west of England and my husband is being transferred to work in the Grangemouth area. We are looking to move to a bungalow in a village setting with lots of lovely walks for our dogs, within around 15-20 miles of work. Can anyone recommend any suitable areas, please? Thanks, Trish

Islay vs Argyll and Isle of Mull vs Hebrides?
I'm planning a cycle trip from 18th-25th May. I'm looking at getting the train into Edinburgh from England (due to time constraints). I've done bike touring before in the hilly Balkans (Croatia/Montenegro/Bosnia/Albania/Macedonia) so I know I can cycle about 120km each day in hilly terrain (possibly further but depends on…

Week-long woodland retreat - only £250
Having seen that other retreats in Scotland normally cost around £1000 or more, I figured that this retreat in the Scottish Borders is a bargain at only £250. The retreat involves spending a week in a yurt without electricity. There is also meditation and mindfulness, and many discussions revolving around asking questions,…

Land possession and ownership
I’ll try and keep this short. I have lived in my house for 12 years. When we bought our house we were aware that a patch of land at the bottom of the garden was not included in our deeds but had been tended as a garden for at least 45 years and possibly as far back as the first world war. A hedge and fence bounds the…

Nice places to move to near Glasgow
Hi all, I am originally from Glasgow but have lived in England for the last 10 years. Following a recent break-up, I've decided to move back to Scotland to be near my mum who lives in Glasgow. I'm more of a 'country' girl so don't want to live in Glasgow itself. I was wondering if you could recommend lovely areas to live…

Edinburgh City Centre is becoming a dump
Harsh words I know but I've just come back from holiday in Malaga where the streets were absolutely spotless. We noticed that they had cleaners out night & day and they actually looked like they took pride in their work. I have spoken to lots of friends and work colleagues who work in the city centre and we all feel that…
