Hi anyone out there who can give me good advice I have £60.000 , but I dont know where the best place to put it, I know £50.000 is safe to put into bank but not above that...so I would probably need to split it.. Help please

Hyperinflation and Savings rates ?
If we went into hyperinflation or towards it would the savings rates and BoE rate follow accordingly ? I know hyperinflation is defined as 100% over 3 years,but lets say inflation at 20% per year.

I'm a bit frustrated this week because the sites I use to find good rates don't seem to be keeping pace with the changes. I am a pensioner, relying on interest from my savings to live on. It is time all pensioners voiced their concerns over the way we savers are being ripped off by this government. If we all withdrew our savings from the banks the government would have to listen!

Fixed Rate Bonds
From what I understand Fixed Rate Bonds offered by UK banks and building societies provide the same level of FSCS protection as ordinary savings accounts (i.e. £50000 protection). Is this correct?
