Northern Rock Fixed rate 3.4%

Someone maybe interested, N.R have a 3.4% AER, and 2.7% net p.a fixed rate deposit. Operated online with choice of monthly or annual interest. The rate is fixed until 1/3/2011, the maximum that can be invested is 25k per customer, so in effect 50k per couple if seperate accounts

I think you'll find this bond is now closed. It was a branch operated bond.

The only bonds on offer now are issue 13 (1 year) issue 14 (2 year) both @3% gross and issue 15 (5year) @ 3.25% gross.

I opened a Fixed Rate Issue 10 bond last week which was fixed for 1 year.
This was @ 3.4% gross.
I had a Halifax bond mature which had been earning 6.65%. I filled up BOS ISAR @ 5.8% I had ready, to the £50K with some of it, then £25K into the NR bond. Some drop in interest rate eh.
What to do with the rest.
