Appealing a Train Fine
Hello, I was recently issued a £404 fine for not being able to display a ticket when leaving my final destination train station - I had left it on the train, assuming I didn't need it anymore. Does anybody know how I can appeal this?

I booked a train ticket that cost over £30 and involved a Virgin train then a northern one. The northern one got cancelled and there wasn't another for over an hour so I was 62 minutes late. Can I claim a refund of the whole ticket from northern?

Forgotten rail card
A short while Back we forgot our railcard so bought tickets without the discount. They did not get checked. Can you buy tickets with the discount in the knowledge that even if a jobsworth gave you a fine you could appeal successfully? Or is that not a defence and do we have to just take it on the chin and pay full price?

Pre-booked ticket wouldn't work
I booked a ticket from Birmingham to Gloucester and received confirmation but the ticket was unavailable when I tried to collect it so I had to pay again. Trainline refused to refund the whole amount and tried to charge a processing fee of £10??
