I am looking to find if there is a national map that shows interconnecting local bus services. The idea is to use my bus pass to travel a far distance. Thanks.

It's a nice story but much of the information is outdated. Routes between cities in the East Midlands are largely excluded from the concessionary scheme now.

I tend to just take my chances and see where i end up.

No, there is no national bus route map.

Some county councils publish a network map (usually on their website) but not all of them bother.

Google Maps will show bus links between places if you use the public transport mode. However if there is a quicker train route it will show this instead, so use the options to unselect "Train" then it should show bus options.
