just messing around looking form some train journeys in the 6 week holidays, thought id try skegness 1 adult and 1 child with a railcard.
i live between wolverhampton and birmingham so tried birmingham first £39.10
tried wolverhampton as it makes no difference to me £50.50 ok it seems they are charging me £11.40 to get from wolves to birmingham when this journey is £4.70
so birmingham to skeggy it is then ,1 change over at nottingham
so i decided to do brum to notts then notts to skeggy £15.20 and £15.30 so thats £30.50 if i do my own split ticketing.
split ticketing website just indicates £39.10 and doesnt bother doing what i did so id be £9 quid worse off.
be careful with that tool,i will be double checking myself in future

Try trainsplit.com.0

I agree with the OP. Trainsplit is not helping here. It does not offer a split, just the two AP single fares totalling £39.10
Booking the legs individually achieves a lower price. I found Off peak return Birmingham to Not, £16.10 then AP singles Nott to Skeg for £8.50 plus £6.80. Total £31.40.
That was for travel on 3 August departing B'Ham 10.19 and departing Skegness 18.14.0 -

The newer version of Trainsplit will find many more split opportunities than the current version0
