How good is protection for cancelled train services?
We prefer to travel by train rather than air within the UK and want to pre-book a journey in October. As pensioners we can be flexible if trains are cancelled on a specific day. However, there is a significant risk of a strike or other disruption. Are we right that if no feasible train was available within a time window,…

Trains timetabled but no fares?
I've been trying for a few days to book return tickets for my husband and I, to no avail. The journey is for the end of October, so less than 12 weeks away. So I'd usually be able to book. I keep getting the train times but no fares available. Have tried multiple operators all saying the same? Below is the message from…

Bus cancellations-companies liabilities
I recently travelled from Scarborough to Whitby on Arriva's X93 service and went for the last but one return service at 18.41 (leaving a margin for any unforeseen circumstances). The bus didn't turn up so I hung around for an hour for the last service at 19.41 which also failed to turn up. At this point I was stranded 20…

There will be 2 disabled adults (1 wheelchair user) and 1 15 year old travelling, probably on a Ouigo train. I can't figure out how to book it as on the Ouigo site it only allows for 2…
