SWR Reduced Timetable - Annual Season ticket Delay Repay

Why is it that I can't claim compensation from SWR when they're running a reduced timetable this week, yet a person with a Single ticket can?
This has been frustrating me for some time, long and short is I start work at 7am in London so rely/pay to use their early morning services to get to work on time. Strike days are fine, I can get DR on that with no issues, but the days in between when they decide to run a reduced timetable I have no right to that but they don't start a timetable until 7am so I can't get into work on time (yet someone with a single advanced ticket does if they decide not to travel).
Something wrong there if you ask me...

The government changed the rules for Delay Repay recently. They allow operators to make 'short notice changes' to the timetable and if they are uploaded to journey planners by 10pm the day before, then they don't have to pay Delay Repay claims for those services not operating.
I'm not sure what you mean by single ticket holders getting compensation. The way I understand it is they don't, but if they decide not to travel by train they can get a refund on the unused ticket. If you are unable to travel then you should be able to get a pro-rata refund on your season ticket too.0 -
