Any railcards for 50 year old solo travellers?

Hi everyone 

I’ve looked at the railcards site but I can’t find any rail cards aimed at solo travellers of my age. 

I’m in north of England so can’t get a network railcard (I think ???) 

I believe there’s a railcard for 50s in Scotland but not in england

Am I missing something? Apart from waiting 15 more years to get retired before resorting to railcards 😂

Not really - apart from the other option of finding someone in a similar situation who travels on the same trains as you and getting a Two Together card ;-)

Some specific train operating companies have over 50 cards.  Greater Anglia for example (and for some journeys this offers more favourable discounts than Network Card or Two Together/Family Rail Card, because GA Club 50 doesn't have a minimum fare).  I think the other railways run by Abellio have similar cards.

And there are some regional railcards available to anyone (like Network card, but not for London, e.g. the the far South West).  You may be able to get a discount using split ticketing (to split journeys at region boundaries) and multiple regional railcards
