Emma mattress.
Evening. Have just replaced a 12 year old pocket sprung mattress with a Emma foam mattress. Bought it in the Black Friday sale for £389 delivered. Despite a few concerns it’s fantastic and is exceptionally comfortable and both myself and the wife haven’t suffered from any overheating which some reviews mention.

Parcelfarce vent
Parcelfarce sent me an email at 7:12 saying they were delivering today between 9 and 10. (Why could they not have sent one yesterday notifying me that they would delivering today at some point, as most other couriers seem to manage ?) At 9 I clicked on tracking to see if there was a progress map, and found that they had…

MSE's "Report" button
Every now and then, if I see a post I don't like on this forum, I will hit the Report button, and send a message to the moderators. All I get back is an automated email from the forum system. Have the moderators agreed with my report and taken action? Did they disagree with my report and think that the post was fine? Has…

YELL Reviews - do not trust
I published a poor review on Yell. The company it concerned complained and the review was removed. I complained and justified the review so Yell reinstated it. About a month later it disappeared again. I complained again and after two weeks Yell sent me an unsatisfactory reply saying my review breached their policy.…

Disappointing Dyson Service & Replacement Vacuum recommendations
We have been loyal customers of Dyson for about 20 years now however the last one we bought will be the last. An upright 07 version was fine until, under warranty, the front brushes stopped working. A new head unit was sent in the past 18 months but now that too has packed in and the machine is out of warranty. Allegedly…

Supermarket self serve packing.
Going to be short and sweet on this one. I'd think i probably wouldn't be in the minority but this is MSE so that one immediately gets turned on its head and becomes the opposite of the real world..... People who go to the self serve in supermarkets, bring their own bag, scan their stuff (lots of it), pay, and then proceed…

Question re John Lewis
I usually buy big ticket items from John Lewis as their extended warranty is great, however went to purchase a TV (I have never made a claim) and they added £60 delivery charge to Northern Ireland. I never had to pay for delivery before. Is this a new thing? I did see the free mainland delivery in the link below. I am…

Salamander Garden and Landscape
Beware of using this company which is owned by Domonic Boorman. I have also issued a warning under his name on another post. Whilst his work is a good standard, when he is on site (which is irregular). He is full of excuses. If someone does want to use his services I would strongly advise only pay him when the job is…

Vent Anchor Mobility
Has anyone had dealings with Anchor Mobility in Cambridge? A sales person visited my Father in Law last year and sold him a bed for £4000, at the time he was very ill and unable to make rational decisions, which was very obvious. My Father in Law is now in a nursing home, he did not take delivery of the bed as he went into…

Sports Direct - Trainers
A pair of men's trainers were purchased on 1st August this year. They have already split at the toe. They were about £35 so cheap and no doubt made in China. I know - you get what you pay for. Is it worth paying a lot more for a pair of better made trainers - although who is to say they are better made? Perhaps wiser to…
