Is it worth leaving reviews on trustpilot

I'm wondering if it's worth leaving reviews on trustpilot as I left a poor review for a company and trustpilot emailed me to say Based on your review and username (xxxxxxxx) doesn’t recognize you as one of their customers. By providing them with more information, you’ll make it easier for them to write a more useful reply to you. It will also help them verify that you’ve had a genuine experience with their business. Of course, it’s totally up to you what you share.
When I wrote the review I put the order number and my name shows on the review so I don't know how they don't know who I am.

I've had trustpilot say that too, even when I've left good reviews!

Don't worry too much about not being able to leave a negative review: in fact, a trader can be committing criminal offences in the conduct of their trading and Trustpilot will still "censor" all reviews that objectively describes the criminality and specifies the exact legislation that makes the conduct an offence!  If anyone wants the evidence, PM me and I'll send you the message thread between me and TrustPilot (based in Denmark, not in the UK) in which you can see that they repeatedly ignore specific questions about the company and about why they refuse to publish such negative reviews).

In short, never use Trustpilot if you want an objective assessment of a contractor or trader... remember, many of the latter are paying for their listings and for TrustPilot to "manage" their reputations.

Having being involved with TrustPilot in the past, I wouldn't now have anything to do with it. In fact, I think it is time TrustPilot was completely abolished. It reminds me of Trip Advisor, which became synonymous with reviews being "planted" by interested parties. IMHO, TrustPilot is used by whole
"armies" of supporters who wish to "upgrade" a poor company or competitors who wish to "downgrade" good companies.
