No retailer is going to give a refund until they've collected and inspected the faulty item, and they have every right to do so. Also, at this point you cannot demand a refund and may have to accept a replacement if it's offered.2

The materials the bed is made of are flimsy so we wouldn't want another bed, as its almost guaranteed the same would happen. It is not fit for purpose.0

If not being without a bed is important then why not buy another bed now, and have your daughter use that while you pursue the refund? It takes the urgency out of the situation.1
