Friends dog has fleas....
I have said yes to have my best friends dog overnight at weekend. Problem is she has just mentioned she has found a flea on her dog (infestation a few months ago) but will bath and treat before stay. I have a dog (no fleas) and my son and I are allergic to flea bites. Should I still dog sit? Will the flea bath be enough?

Command
My dog knows the recall come. Yet when out in the garden refuses to obey. Why? He is six months of age. As a six month old pup what should be his behaviour be like?

Are cats mad?
Going from snoozing on the windowsill in the sun, to a mad dash up the stairs, dash back down the stairs, then a wrestle with the hall runner rug. Oh and of course finishing up on her side with her front paws still clutching the rug, absolutely motionless staring at me as if to say "What?"

Cat toileting rug :-( SHES AT IT AGAIN :-(

I got her as a rescue last spring. 9 times out of 10 she used the tray sometimes she used the downstrairs rug, I changed it or the bathmat - I started taking it up & draping it over the side of the bath. Anyway she stopped & has been fine until just before Xmas & she's started using…

We have a new rescue addition, a 6m old little boy, and beautiful he is too! His foster mum fed him on Go-Cat and nothing else. I've had him for 3 weeks now and have been trying to wean him off the stuff to wet, but he just won't entertain wet food at all. I've tried wet mixed with dry, I've tried wet to the side of dry,…

Raw Food
I tried my cats out on some raw food recently - I used Purrform (I think it's called) They really enjoyed the chicken but wouldn't touch the rabbit. If you feed you cats a raw diet, where do you get it from - who do you recommend. Do you feed them an exclusive raw diet or a mix of raw and dried?

Pet insurance claim
Our cat is currently in the emergency vets and likely is all weekend which will cost around £1600. Is there any policies which allow you to purchase and make a claim straight away? We have already paid £600 since he was admitted but the final bill will be on Monday if he is let out. It isn't an existing medical illness but…

How do you know when it's the right time to put your cat to sleep
Hi I have a 22 year old cat. He has lost loads of weight over the last 6 months. He is deaf and partially blind. The last time I took him to the vet he said he was very old and had used up his body fat and was now using his muscle . Over the last month he is very confused and has lost probably more than 50% of his body…

Hello, So, I've had some carpet laid in the living room (amongst other places) and my female cat seems intent on scratching it to pieces. She's not interested in any of the other rooms, just the living room. It's quite an expensive carpet and I'm at my wits end with it. I come home to bits of carpet loop all over the…
