My Mum went into respite care a week ago, for a period of weeks to months, I've only just thought about the tv license and that I might not be covered. I live in her house with her, and she gets the free oap's license so I'm normally covered by that, am I still? What about council tax?

Care Home fees and savings - a slightly different query than usual
Hi, I'll keep this as brief and as clear as possible: 1) My FiL has moved to a care home just over a year ago (self funding). 2) His only child is my lovely wife and has financial PoA. She is the sole beneficiary in his will. 3) His house is sold and all assets are now in cash in a savings account. 4) His total assets have…

Health Checks ?
We're a couple in our mid 50's and over the past 6 months have seen TWO friends of the same age die (one 3 months after the diagnosis of cancer) and one literally felt a bit "off" one day, went to bed in the afternoon and died in his sleep. As you can imagine, this has come as a wake-up call for us. One option we're…

Fixed rate pension introduction brought forward
It appears the government has decided to bring forward the introduction of April 2016. To qualify I believe the number of NI years has been raised from 30 to 35. Does anyone know what will be the position for anyone without the necessary NI years? I need to review whether to buy additional NI years.

I had an interview with an officer from the Court of Protection this afternoon with regards to my mum. But my…
