Council tax empty property surcharge
Has anyone had any experience of challenging 50% council tax surcharge on an empty property? It has taken me 2 years to sell my empty tiny terraced property, and there has been a £600+ surcharge on my CT bill. Plus they won't give me a single occupancy reduction. I'd be very grateful to know whether anyone has challenged…

Mortgage arrears refund from HBOS
So a while ago I read about HBOS looking into the way they had charged customers in difficulty. Writing Off Your Mortgage?
An advert came on the radio about writing off up to 70% off your mortgage. The company is called 'Ease Your Mortgage' so I looked online as was curious. Apparently some lenders sell on your mortgage to another investor and do not change the name legally on your title deed, therefore meaning you can write off some of what…

Council Tax -Single occupancy discount
Dear users, My told my council that I did not live in my renting property for about 14 months and now they said I could not claim single occupancy discount for this period. Hi Until my partner moved in 26th August weekend I was claiming 25% single persons discount.
