Hi
I hope someone can give me some advise.
I claimed for PPI in 2014 through a company but was told I have been refused.
Since watching Martin on tv and being contacted by another company about PPI i decided to try and claim again. Well I recently had a letter from Halifax saying that I claimed in 2014 and they sent me a letter saying they advised me of my right to refer your PPI concerns to the financial ombudsmen service within 6 months. And as the 6 month period elapsed before I contacted them again about my PPI , they consider my complaint to be closed. And they are unable to review my concerns. And also the ombudsmen will not have there permission to consider the MPPI mis-selling aspects of my complaint.
Can anyone give me some advice of if I can still claim or have I lost out?

You've left it three and half years too late, I'm afraid.
If you used a company the second time, they may want to charge you a fee.0 -
You can only complain once. Reason no1
You ran out of time to contact the ombudsman reason no2.
You can only move onmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Statistically the most likely outcome with MPPI.Since watching Martin on tv and being contacted by another company about PPI i decided to try and claim again. Again, the expected outcome. You cant keep trying. They will just keep referring back to the original decision. Can anyone give me some advice of if I can still claim or have I lost out?
You havent lost out on anything as that would assume there is something there in the first place for to have had. Most MPPi complaints fail both at bank and at ombudsman.
You had your window to refer it to the FOS but didnt so its now game over.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
