Can my pans be saved?
I've had my set of pans for about five years now (is this good? How long should pans generally last). They are stainless steel and when I bought them they cost me £120 reduced from £300. Food is starting to stick to a couple of them and I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to prolong the life of them? I currently…

I purchased a YS Pork Shoulder joint in Tescos today during my lunch break. Previously I'd only ever bought a small piece from Aldi and Tescos. This one was huge.....a proper joint and I was excited about the price :rotfl: My colleague suggested I cut it in half and then freeze it. I said I would just chuck it all in the…

Slow Cooker has multiple hair line cracks on outside
Hi all, I used my Slow Cooker for a veggie lasagna on Sunday, and when I took it out (after about 7 hours on low) I noticed lots of cracks around the outside of the crock pot, all with black hard residue on where the cracks were. Hi I've got an unopened 4 pint of milk that is now just out of date, and we won't need it for tea/cereal etc. I hate to throw it away. Can I make white sauce and freeze it? Any other ideas for how I can use it up (there's only 2 of us, we only really use milk for hot drinks and sauces now and then).

Plastic bit for reusing vacuum bags
My mum used to have a black plastic strip that kept vacuum bags closed so that she could re-use the bag. I've been given a vacuum that uses bags since my dyson died on me. It's a bit of a long shot but wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about with the plastic strip and where I might buy one? It's not that I'm…
