Transforming shop bought Mango Chutney

I have bought two jars of Mango and ginger chutneys that are not to my taste. I would like to know if anyone has tried to "re-cook" a shop bought chutney?
I would like to add my own spices to make it less bland.
Anyone here has had a similar experience?

You could just use them in cooking, add to a curry etc. I do a mango chutney chicken which is nice, diced chicken, onion any other veg you fancy add mango chutney and a splash of water cook until it's a nice sticky glaze.0
