Cheap Family Recipes - Meal Plan Website
I know that cheap-family-recipes.org.uk was made by members of this forum and I was just wondering if anyone uses the meal plans from it or has in the past? How did you find it? We're giving it a go this month, got my shopping today and made calzone for dinner, although I just threw it together as usual with my wholegrain…

Anchovy essence
Hi all, I've got a recipe that calls for 1 tsp of anchovy essence. I haven't got any, so I was planning on substituting with anchovies in olive oil. My question is: how many would you use? 1? 2? More? The recipe is for pork pies, using 900g of pork shoulder, if that helps. Thanks, MBE

1 Litre Foil Dish?
My daughter has been asked to bring a "1 litre foil dish" to school for use in the oven as part of Home Economics. I have absolutely NO IDEA what size a 1 litre foil dish is as we very rarely get takeaways so don't really have anything like that lying around in the cupboard. Most places that sell them seem to sell in packs…

Do I NEED fabric conditioner?
I'm leaning towards not bothering to repurchase it. I ran out about a week ago and haven't noticed a blind bit of difference in our laundry. [threadbanner]box[/threadbanner]

Any bread makers out there?
I have been making my own bread now for about 6 months or so. I use a stand mixer. I have had fairly good results mostly, my white bread efforts are good and I am happy with them. When I make wholemeal/stoneground/granary type breads they tend to come out a bit on the heavy side (still get eaten, though!) I bought some…

Portable Electric Heater
I hate our bedroom being hot in the winter, like it around 10 degrees, but this means the room does feel quite damp and we have noticed a couple of things in our wardrobe have mould growing on them. I very rarely put the heating on in the winter as the living room stays at about 20-22 degrees and everyone else in the house…
