Plastic bit for reusing vacuum bags

My mum used to have a black plastic strip that kept vacuum bags closed so that she could re-use the bag.
I've been given a vacuum that uses bags since my dyson died on me. It's a bit of a long shot but wondering if anyone knows what I'm talking about with the plastic strip and where I might buy one?
It's not that I'm horribly tight, but if I know there's a way that I don't have to spend money on something then I'd rather save the money and use it for something that I want to spend it on!

That's it! So glad it's not just something that my mum made herself and that I'm still not alone in not wanting to spend money on vacuum bags. Makes me feel less tight! :T0

Stationers will sell them as we use them for spines for loose papers.0

I didn't even know they existed til you mentioned it so I have ordered a larger one (20.5cms) for my Miele pet Hoover as the bags are £20 for 15 and I get through 1 a week (sometimes 2 when my dogs are moulting) :eek:0

A couple of large bulldog clips and some judicious folding might be the answer!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson
