Advise on Negotiating Total Loss Vehicle Value With Insurer
Hi all, Would really appreciate some suggestions on how to negotiate with insurer re settlement offer on the vehicle deemed total loss. To begin the story, two weeks ago we were driving our family's VW Transporter down M1, when we got rear-ended in our lane at speed by an SUV, whose driver didn't read the road signs.…

Does this sound like mis-selling a car?
Purchased a 2nd hand car from official KIA dealership. Was told car had official 7 year warranty in place and transfers to new owner. This was confirmed in sales discussion. Was told to keep “warranty intact” I should pay for maintenance contract…which I did. This week have had a major failure. KIA have denied warranty…

Car Dealer attempting to charge for diagnostics on almost new car
If a car dealership is trying to say that you need to pay for diagnostics on a brand new car that is only a few weeks old to diagnose a fault, and the diagnostic fee is not refundable, even if it turns out to be a warranty fault (which it almost certainly will), is this valid? I would think that in this case you would just…

Who pays for Car Salvage
Hi first time here... I had a no-fault claim with my car insurance to which my vehicle was passed to an accident management company that took my vehicle away. Without my knowledge they assessed the vehicle as a category N write off and pursued the 3rd party's insurance for payment. I was told the 3rd party paid the car…

Hi all, Say you were looking at car insurance quotations and you are considering the question: 'Have you or any of your drivers ever had a car insurance policy cancelled, voided, refused or had special terms imposed ...' Does personal breakdown cover apply to rental cars?
I've been trying to find the fine print on personal breakdown cover (RAC, AA, those types of places) so I can double-check whether it only applies to a privately owned vehicle. I'm considering buying it for an upcoming trip because it would be a fraction of the cost to buy it independently versus paying the fee that…

NIP error SJP issued
I received a NIP with a typo on the road name and a date of 10/11/23 at 06:00. This wasn't me at all so I replied back saying I wasn't the driver and attached evidence of my Google Timeline History and a request for ANPR cameras to be checked as I didn't have the authority to do this. My vehicle didn't leave my address. I…

Any v good drivers out there?
I'm looking for a bit of TLC and advice. I've been driving for 34 years and have let myself down badly by doing significant damage to my new vehicle without even being aware that it was a risk. End of car lease
My car lease is ending very soon and car being collected in 10 days. At recent service, tyre repair kit was seen to be out of date. My questions are: 1. Do I have to replace it? (Agreemeny says it needs to be serviceable at end of lease) 2. If so, can I get away with buying a cheaper option from Halfords etc as garage…

BMW Emissions
I took a phone call this morning from someone wanting detail on my BMW purchases, about the emissions claim.
