Overpayment
I have over paid on my gas and electricity bill. When I enquired about this a few months ago my provider (British Gas) said that it was better to keep my account in credit in case I use more fuel over the winter months. I agreed to this but then realised my direct debits have recently decreased. I rang today and was told…

I wonder if anybody out there can help me? Recently had installed my stove by HETAS engineer. Eco fan / thermometer question
Having just moved house we have a log burning stove. We remember when we viewed, the people had an eco fan on it and thermometer on the flue. We are now wondering if we too should buy one, but where do you start and how much would we need to pay as they seem to be quite a range. If you have one, or have changed yours,…

Worth switching gas supplier?
Is it really worth switching gas supplier? I am with British Gas, and were I to switch I could save roughly £250 per year bringing the yearly gas bill down to about £400. This assumes the BG price per unit stays fixed. One concern is that the switchers give a more up to date price, but BG will in a month or two come down…

nPower fined £26m
It seems that OFGEM have fined nPower £26m for their more recent failings... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35129788 Their reputation is in tatters anyway. They'll have to increase rates to cover the cost of this. Can/should they continue to be an energy supplier?
