Well after 8 years of having my Charnwood Cove 2 I have had it disconnected and have gone Bio.
I have gone for one of the free boiler deals and have to say from the way it's gone so far I am well impressed and should have done it years ago.
We had a timber frame extension last year and running two stoves was killing us financially as well as the electric for the hot water so I inquired about one of the free boiler deals and went with Fusion Energy. They get the payments for seven years we get a 7 year warranty on parts and labour if it does go wrong, all we have to do is buy the pellets and get it serviced once a year.
We have had a Palazetti Thermoeasy 18Kw installed outside and a 300L thermal store installed instead of the old tank.
First load of pellets was free with the deal as well and as it currently stands it is using around 15Kg (£3) a day and it's on 24/7.
The electric was costing just shy of £700 a year for the hot water, logs for the heating around £900 a year and coal for the other stove another £500 a year and that was only running the CH for 4 hrs a day and HW for 4 hrs a day too.
So no brainer really - feels so much nicer here now .... getting up to a warm house and coming home from work to a warm house
time will tell how it goes.

Just a quick update -
2 weeks on now since we had the boiler fitted and it is running like clockwork
Topping up with pellets on average once a day x 1 15Kg bag of pellets - cleaning out ash and giving it a fettle once a week.
The warmer weather really made a difference and only needed to be topped up every other day with heating only set at 17 deg for background heat. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
