Transferring Cash ISA with both previous year and current year deposits
I want to transfer a cash ISA as the interest rate is dropping next month. The issue is it has both previous year (8K) and current year (2K) contributions, does the new provider get a breakdown of previous / current year when I transfer so it doesn't affect my current year allowance. I don't want them to mark 10K againest…

212 isa
I have open a 212 everyday isa. I have been using it just like my bank saving account just allowing 3 days for money to be transferred. At present I'm really pleased with the way it's working. My question is I have a Lloyd's isa that will mature on 7th December. Is it a wise idea to switch this isa to my 212 isa account?…

Fractional shares now allowed in ISAs
From Nov 4 2024, fractional shares will officially be allowed in S&S ISAs and Junior ISAs (and CTFs). Fractional shares held before this date in these tax wrappers are included in the permission. These fractionals cannot be transferred, however, so you might have to sell them if you want to transfer to another provider.…

To Fix or Stay Easy Access
Hi All With interest rates set to reduce over the foreseeable, what are your plans for any current ISA Renewals. Easy Access - 4.8%-5.1% Current rates but could reduce. Fixed 1 year - 4.4%-4.61% fixed rate for 12 months. My current plan would be to gamble that the easy access rates come down at a slower rate or not at all…

Can I add next year to a fixed ISA?
Hi, I’ve come in to some money and looking at the first time at ISAs. I’ll be able to add £20k each tax year for the next few years. Which do you think is a better option, put this years £20k in a 1 year fixed, then open a new account each tax year or, open a flexible ISA and add £20k to the same account each year? Any…

Maturing ISA - partial transfers
I'm an ISA newbie, as I never had one until I inherited a reasonable sum a year ago (I could not afford to save before that), so I've learnt a LOT from these forums about ISAs and savings in general, so thank you! So...I have a Co-op Fixed ISA £20k 5.59% which matures next month and goes into a Co-op instant access ISA at…

Lifetime ISAs
Before I turned 40, I opened a Lifetime ISA (LISA) with £1. I have £8000 in a savings account. At some point in the next five years, I want to buy a house. Am I right in thinking that I can only pay £4000 a year into a LISA and the bonus is added that month? So I pay in £4000 today and it'll become £5000 in the next few…

Switching between types of ISA, LISA and between providers
Good morning! I joined MSE forum recently and have learned much about pension; really appreciate people's help. I also realise that I don't do anything with S&S (stocks and shares) yet. Since finishing sorting out other money matters, I have only put in 2 years' ISAs, both cash, which I merged together in November 2023 to…

Transfer in to Tesco 1 year fix
I'm thinking of opening the Tesco 1 year fix with initial funding from other savings. I have a Santander fix that matures on 1st May that I'd like to transfer in to Tesco at that point, but one of the Tesco conditions is that funding has to be complete within 30 days of opening. Given the current thread on the large…

Cash ISA Transfer
I want to transfer my 1 yr fixed rate Cash ISA which matures 23/11/24 to another provider which is currently offering a better rate than the maturity option which has been given to me. However, it seems likely to me that interest rates generally will drop on 7/11 thanks to a Bank of England rate cut. If I open the new…

Trading 212 Cash ISA Transfer In
The rate offered is great (a loss leader). Be aware that there are a very limited number on banks they will accept transfers from and you only find this out after going through the whole acceptance process AND having to contact an adviser through their BOT.

ISA Transfers

If Not is there any way I can reinvest this amount within…

Am I paying over the odds for my S&S ISA with Hargreaves Lansdown?
I have about £76k in an H&L S&S ISA - Artemis, Invesco, Janus, Jupiter China, L&G, Stewart Investors. I don't trade shares. I can't even remember how I accumulated these funds. I am being charged approx £331 a year, approx £28 a month which I think is high. I do have about £40k in my DODL Investment ISA which I'm charged…

Kent Reliance Application for missed ISA subscription
I was checking some detail about a joint savings account we've closed a couple of days ago. We still have 3 ISAs with KR. The customer bloke said oh you haven't competed the applicaiton for a missed ISA subscription yet. I looked this up and it's a declaration that I will apply for an ISA in all future years. Then it says…
