Maximising allowance across ISAs
I have opened a flexible cash isa with Trading 212. I have transferred (and closed) my old cash ISA. I also have a stocks and shares isa, which I contribute at £300 PCM and a lifetime ISA at £25 PCM. I am trying to understand if I can do this: So far I have contributed £1500 to my stocks and shares isa (5*300) and £125…

Virgin Money Fixed Cash ISA Maturity
Hi, Just interested in peoples experiences with Virgin Money and Maturity options / Transfers. I have a Fixed Rate Cash E-ISA due to mature on Saturday 24 August 2024. I received the notification from Virgin last Thursday 15th August 1233. Which as I've been away I didn't pick it. Totally my fault I know. But I recall,…

ISA confusion
Seeking help re maturing ISA my current cash ISA of £20K matures very soon on 1/9/24. Opened with £20K 1/9/23 i also purchased in May 2024 £7K in stocks and shares ISA with trading 212. I suddenly realised if I reinvest the £20K cash ISA ( plus interest circa £1K) it would seem to go over this year’s allowance. I had…

Multiple LISAs & the 12 months withdrawal rule.
Something that I cannot find confirmation on is the following scenario - LISA #1 - S&S Lisa - over 12 months old. LISA #2 - Cash Lisa - under 12 months old. Would you be able to transfer from LISA #2 into the mature LISA #1, and be able to use the full combined amount, without the 12-month withdrawal penalty for a house…

Cash Isa
I am looking for a easy access Cash Isa. I see that some say flexible, and others do not. Am i correct in thinking when it says flexible, i am able to withdraw money, and also put money back in. Whereas non flexible will not allow me to do this. Equally if i was to open one Now. Would i be able to deposit £20000 either…

Planning ahead, Virgin &, Nationwide Customers
With a couple of fixes maturing shortly, I was looking at what Virgin have to offer. I see only one fixed ISA for a year. Since the planned takeover looks to be going ahead, I am thinking, having accounts with both Virgin and N/wide could prove to be problematic. If you are in a longer fix(es) if available and the £85k…

Isa Transfer
I wonder if it is worth transfering a maturing isa to another provider unless there is a big increase in interest percentage.I was going to transfer from Virgin to Santander. Santander being 4.62% Virgin being 4.5%.On the amount in savings, gives me an extra £84 per annum with Santander. But last time I transfered to…

Nationwide 'split-ISA' - can it be transferred out
Hi, a few years ago when I was putting contributions into a Nationwide Help to Buy ISA, they offered a "split ISA" (I think it's called Flexclusive Split ISA). The offered this to give us an opportunity to use up the full 20k ISA allowance. So over the course of a year I'd deposit the maximum I could into the Help to Buy…

HSBC S&S to Virgin Cash Flexclusive - funds lost in transfer
Back in early April, I submitted a request to Virgin to transfer uninvested funds from HSBC GIC ISA. I have not heard anything for a long time, but around 10th of May I received a letter through the post from Virgin that they are going to chase it. Then a letter arrived from HSBC saying they rejected request because they…

Question on ISAs movement and transferring pots
Hi all, I have anytime access flexible ISA with chip for year 2024-2025. I have been saving into it for last couple months. Now that trading 212 is paying more interest in their anytime access flexible ISA, Am I allowed to move to trading 212? If yes, is it just a case of withdrawing my cash from chip then opening new ISA…

Can i top uo if i move to another isa.
So my 2023-2024 ISA which I started in August 2023 has now reached the end of its year and now I am wondering what to do with my £21k. If i transfer it into another isa at say 4% would i get tax free interest on the 21k and if I put in another 10k would i get the 4% on that as well which would result me getting 4% on the…

Saving on iSAs
SIlly question - if I invest £20k in an ISA, if, say, it is worth £21k after a year, can I then add another £20K the following year or does it have to be £19k. either way does the whole £40k remain free of tax? Thanks

Trading 212 Clone / Scam?
Having seen the Trading 212 Cash ISA in the newsletter, I clicked the link, got to the trading212 site and opened a Cash ISA... did the ID checks and went to deposit £20k, but Chase (my bank) wasn't on the list of banks they can do an instant transfer with, so elected for the bank transfer method. I used my Chase app to…

Fixed Rate cash ISA maturing - confusion about options
Hello I’ve had a look through a few FR ISA threads here but not found the information I need. Last year I opened a 1 year FR cash ISA with NatWest, which matures in September. The information they have sent me states that it will automatically become an easy access ISA on maturity, or can become another Fixed Rate ISA with…

20k ISA Time!
It's that time of year. I've got 20 years of investing ahead of me with a £20k ISA S&S allowance hole which needs filling. Torn between "S&P 500 UCITS ETF accumulation" and "VLS 100% accumulation".... Let's just say that Vanguard is the only company you can use, which one? Awaiting positivity and good vibes!

Coventry lowering rates on 2nd September
I was wondering what would happen to the Variable Four Access ISA Online issue 1. The rate is being reduced from 5.05 to 4.8 from the 2nd of September. That seems reasonable, they haven't jumped in straight away to drop it after the cut. The limited access online ISA 3 is dropping as well, again by .25 to 4.1 should anyone…
