    Who's the ISA with?

Nationwide offer an "Inheritance ISA" (APS ISA by another name) but only if the current ISA's with them.

    Skipton

I'm sure there are others, but those two come to mind from when I was sorting out my fathers affairs a while back.

    What type of ISA?

Easiest to open with the provider that the ISA’s are with and then transfer them from there.

My late husband had ISA’s with Nationwide and TSB, both have allowed Additional inherited Subscriptions into new ISA’s with them. I will transfer them out.

If you mean that you have an existing APS ISA that you want to move to a new ISA with a different provider then yes, that's what I did for my Mum.

She had an APS ISA at the Skipton BS and we moved it to a cash ISA with the Coventry BS that accepted transfers in.
