Moving my poorly performing Stocks and Shares ISA to a cash ISA

I have had Stocks and Shares ISA for 9 years with very poor return. I want to move some of it into a higher interest cash ISA. Can I do this directly, without going via my bank? I know there is a form that can be completed. Is this the safest way to do it?

To keep it in an ISA you MUST initiate an ISA transfer with the (new) Cash ISA provider.

You need to pick a provider than can accept incoming transfers from S&S ISAs.

Which investments do you hold, and what has the return been versus what you expected when initially investing?  What are your objectives for this money and are they the same as they were nine years ago?
  • Thanks for the comments. I shall be checking out the best options for cash ISA's, and will see if they accept the transfer form first.
