Flexible ISA Rule changes
Hi there, After the turn of the tax year I subscribed to a flexible cash ISA for a brief period whilst I worked out what to do investment wise. I then withdrew the funds and invested them in another S&S ISA. I was of the understanding that current year subscriptions to a flexible ISA could be withdrawn and replaced in…

Overpaid my ISA in 23/24 by accident...
Hi - hoping someone can help with this! In 2023/24 I have accidentally overpaid my £20k ISA allowance by £100. I had £1000 in a Nutmeg S&S ISA for the 22/23 tax year, this was to get the £100 bonus they were offering to Chase customers at the time. I didn't realise that in July 2023 this was paid into the Nutmeg ISA, I…

British ISA and The General Election
Now the GE has been called I wonder if this will affect the launch of the British ISA, or even if it will go ahead if Labour should win the election ? Chip ISA and unable to close account
I opened a Chip ISA,
only to find that the Chip App wanted what appeared to be access to my bank
account incomings and outgoings. Not happy with having an App (and I
assume Chip staff?) looking at my bank account in this manor and monitoring my
life and transactions, I decided to close the account on the same day that…

transferring one isa, opening and subscribing to another
Hello I know this has been discussed a number of times but I just want to clarify before I advise someone else. A maturing ISA can be transferred to a new ISA now [happens to be with same bank] without adding extra funds and then another ISA opened in a couple of months time to add new subscription of £20k for this tax…

Flexible ISA rules....
Quick question. I've made £20k contribution to a cash isa in this current tax year. The entire balance is now £55k. If I choose to withdraw £45k, would I be able to repay the entire £45k back into the ISA, before the end of the tax year, or can I only return the original £20k? Not quite sure about this one.

S & S ISA, rules, tax and things
If I have a S&S ISA and grow the value by buying and selling, I don't pay CGT or tax on dividends, ok. Is there a limit on how far the ISA can grow? Suppose I just want to sell the shares and hold the money there as cash? Does that make any difference? If say the original 20k becomes 40k, can I transfer 20k to "somewhere…
