Savings account for 17 year old - struggling to find an option!

Hello, our son is in the fortunate position of having been left a chunk of money by my Dad. The money has been in a savings account that will mature when he turns 17 next month. I'm struggling to find a good option for a savings account as any that I've come across you have to be 18 to open them. He already has a Coventry JISA with a small amount of money in which we could add to. The amount in the savings account is £25,000, the JISA will only take £9,000 (and the savings account won't mature in time to make use of the current years allowance). Any thoughts gratefully received as I can't work out what to do!

I'm not sure why you are struggling as there are plenty of options for savings accounts for children.

You just need to decide if you want easy access, regular savings, what it will be used for short term and long term.1 -
