What is a SIPP administrator?
I have used the interactive brokers paper trading account (and API) for the last few years and I enjoy it - it is working out quite well. Albeit I take more risks with it being a paper trading account. However, I discovered recently that interactive brokers do not offer ISAs in the live trading account, but do offer…

What is best
Hi I have a fixed savings account that has matured today that I want to put in a fixed isa, so at the moment it is in a holding account at 0.10% interest, I know the ISA season is usually around April but I have to move this now, so my dilemma is, which at the moment is the best reliable isa on the market to put say 20,000…

ETFs on Trading212
Hello am thinking of opening a stocks and shares ISA on this platform. I want to invest in ETFs, mainly a developed world ETF but maybe one or two themed ETFs. I wondered if there is, by and large a good range of ETFs there? I considered Inveat Engine which is just ETFs but they consolidate their trades once a day which am…

Can Reeves decide to tax an existing ISA
I've just read that Labour may be lowering the cash ISA allowance to £4,000. I know its only rumour/hearsay at present, but given the raids everywhere else, its a very strong possibility. Could they go after existing ISAs as well? I've got a decent amount in a self select S&S ISA - So thought I'd ask. Thanks all

I have already opened and used all allowance for this financial year…

Investments and ISA allowances.
We recently downsized allowing me to invest surplus proceeds. We have always held all assets jointly, however my husband has memory problems and I have full Power of Attorney for him. I was advised by the bank that Investments can only be made in one persons name, consequently we are losing my husbands ISA allowance every…

Transferring LISAs For Higher Interest Rates
Hi All, My partner and I currently have a LISA with MoneyBox but we are looking to move to Tembo because of their 4.8% Interest rate compared to MoneyBox's 3.5% (Just announced reduction). We have had these accounts for numerous years and have a good £5k in government bonuses + interest accrued. I want to double check that…

Funds transfer - keeping within ISA wrapper
Appreciate this is a long post. Following on from my previous post. While I plan my next steps, I am thinking of selling all my current S&S ISA 29 funds into cash ISA. I would like to know when will will the fees for my current platform and fund managers stop? and when will my Cash ISA I start earning interest ? As there…

Don't quite max out your ISA?
I've been frustrated recently that because I've maxed out my ISA allowance with a non-flexible account I can't open and fund new better deals that become available during the financial year, yet may only be available to open for a limited period. Does it make sense to leave yourself just a few pounds short of the maximum…

ISA - April 2025
Hello all, apologies in advance for what is probably quite a basic question. I have invested in a few ISAs for both my parents and myself, but what happens post April 2025? Do I now need to change accounts cos the rate will cease in my current ones? or can i can continue? All accounts were opened around 2-3 months ago.…

Help understanding basic ISA function!
Hi all, I have two ISA’s- one maxed last year and one maxed this year. One is fixed untill march, the other is a cash isa and was created in May 2024. What should I be doing leading up to new ISA allowance? (presuming there is one!) Can I transfer them both to fixed rates without effecting any new allowance? There is a…

How to get mse rate on trading212 cash ISA
Went to open a cash ISA with trading 212 the other day through the mse link. But it says download the app then the app says 4.9%. Came back to it today. Mse page doesn't say you need to do it through their link anymore. Interest rate is down but again. The trading 212 app is lower. How do you get the rate advertised on mse?

Best ISA's for opening as POA?
Any recent positive experiences out there of opening Cash ISA's as Power of Attorney to invest on behalf of Donor? I went through the proces about a year ago and it was quite painful. Some of the companies offering the best rates, usually online or app based, did not entertain POA accounts and others had long-winded…

Mortgage savings account
Hello all, So I’ve recently had my 1 year fixed term ISA come to an end for my mortgage savings accounts. The interest in that has now dropped to 1.14% this month. It has 12k in it. I am unsure now what to do with this now, Lloyds are offering me 4% on another 1 year fixed term but I know I can get a better offer somewhere…

Can you open more than 1 cash ISA in the same tax year?
In Feb 2024, I transferred full amount from an instant cash isa into a new 1 year fixed cash isa. In April 2024 (so in a new financial year), I open a new instant cash isa. So far so good (i hope). This month (Feb 2025) my 1 year fixed isa that I transferred into last Feb matured, and was automatically transferred into a…

Don't quite max out your ISA?
I'm regretting maxing out my ISA allowance this year with a non-flexible account because it's preventing me opening and funding better deals which have become available. In future I'm planning to leave a few £ spare so I can open better accounts then add more funds when the new financial year starts. Does this make sense?

Funds what to do
I have around 30 funds in S&S ISA on the Aegon platform. I was going to start DIY, either by asking the new platform to sell my funds and transfer them out as CASH ISA (so to reduce the fund management fees while I think what I funds to invest in) or transfer all to the new platform then decide what to do. I think if I…

ISA Interest
This may of been asked before but I'm curious. I transferred £60,000 in to a new fixed rate ISA in March 2024 I then added my annual allowance of £20,000 on 10th April, This ISA will mature on 19th March, does the interest count towards my annual allowance as this will take me over the £20,000 limit or can I just leave it…
