Air purifier for dog
Unfortunately my dog suffers from gastric reflux which I've not been able to solve, although I'm still preserving with treatments with help from my vet. Unfortunately this creates an acrid gastric smell when he's in the same room I was wondering if an air purifier with a carbon filter would help? My guess is that the…

'Low Frost' vs 'Frost-Free' integrated Fridge Freezers.
Any experience of just how low the 'low-frost' types are? Full 'frost-free' are indeed that, as it's what I have, and I've never had an ice build up. But now helping someone find a new integrated FF for themselves, and many models are stated as being 'Low Frost', which makes clear that some manual defrosting will be needed…

Lead replacement pipe
Hi I have been given a quote for lead replacement £800 excluding the grant from United Utilities. I've not managed to get anyone else down to give us a quote so it's hard for me to compare. Stupid quick Q about induction hobs.
Without having to check the full specs of each, I notice that some 4-plate induction hobs come with a cable and 13A plug, and others - as expected - require hard-wiring as they are typically around 7kW.How do the plug-in types 'work'? Are all the plates of limited power, or can only a couple be used at a time? Or, do they…

Extended Warranty on Bosch Heat Pump Condenser Dryer
Hi, I bought a Bosch Heat Pump Condenser dryer, it has a 2 year warranty but also an option to extend this to 5 years for £99. I am not sure if it is worth to do. Aware that ultimately it's my decision; but heat pump dryers, are they likely to break down? Less likely after two years? I bought the dryer for £490. Cheers

How to get a piece of cast iron sheet about 30cm x 30cm?
They sell all sorts of sheet metal online like steel, copper, brass and aluminium yet cast iron seems missing. All I can find is the rods to mould, which is no good to me. I want to replace a glass stovetop since the glass stove keeps breaking I am thinking cast iron would not have such issues while having the same thermal…

Tool for rebating a window frame.
Most of the house is double glazed, but there are two original single glazed wooden windows at the back that are solid, but single glazed. Rather than replace at £££, I’m looking at fitting double glazed units into the frame. Currently the single glazing is held in by glazing bars, but the recess the glass sits in is too…

WB Greenstar Highflow 440 - anyone familiar?
This fellow is displaying only a 't' symbol. This appears to indicate when the small built-in DHW cylinder is being heated up, but it's on all the time - for days now. In addition, the boiler doesn't respond to a CH demand.I've tried turning it off and on, and pressing the 'reset' button, but now't. Both the DHW and CH…
