Blinds for patio / sliding doors?

So
I've had a look here

And I'm not sure what's perhaps best for a patio door ie: I could have a perfect fit blinds and one could have the blinds "shaded" even if you open the door to slide it and it's more visually appealing
But equally you can just cover them like you would a normal window but it seems a bit odd when it comes to windows where you deliberately want to slide them open from time to time too.
Not sure what people would recommend

I just have window type blinds. The doors are at the back of the house and not overlooked, so I wouldn't be shutting the blinds when I want to use the door.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
