New driveway - Public Footpath Kerb Issue

But there is a problem with the footpath kerb to the road. There is a small slope in the kerb which leads to the gate at the front of the house but the slope would need…

Piercing whistle in pipes when hot tap for bath is being run
I think this piercing whistle sound has just started since we took a radiator off for decorating, so I'm hoping it's going to be an easy fix. Condenser Dryers - Advice Please
We have a Whirlpool condenser dryer, 2 years old, cost a fortune new. It's begun taking maybe 2-3 settings of 120 minutes to dry a load. They are quite large loads I guess (as my washing machine has extra capacity, what with having a baby and needing clean nappies night & day). Is this normal? And if not, is there anything…

Need advice on hanging 25kg picture
I need to hang a newly purchased picture which weighs a hefty 25kg, and have very little diy experience. The wall we've identified to hang it is the one which ajoins the terraced house next door, and sounds very solid when knocking it. The terrace is, I think, early 20th century, and is in south London. So, I'm not really…

I've got a boiler that's 2yrs old and the hot water wasn't as hot as it should be even tho the thermostat was on max. It'd be a case of jump in the bath and then jump back out again as it lost its heat. A bloke has just come to service it and he explained that with combi boilers its best not to open the bath tap too much…
