Everything I Need To Grow Food
I have a positively teensy backyard and want to grow as much of my own food as possible. There is about enough room to "swing a cat" (really need better phrase than that one - but you know what I mean!). I have JUST enough room I figure to put in 2 of the Link-a-Board containers (ie readymade plastic "bed" type…

Another question on greenhouses
We're considering getting a greenhouse. No one in our household is likely to kick a ball through the glass but the kids next door have a nasty habit of kicking their footballs over our fence, particularly in summer. The greenhouse would be ~20ft away from their garden (we have long, thin gardens, and that is as far away as…

New pond - anything I can add to it now?
We have just made a pond in our allotment out of an old children's sand pit so it is not very large - about 12 inch deep and 4 feet square. We have filled it with water - including some from a neighbouring allotment's pond - but is there anything we can be planting in it or around it at the moment? We don't want fish, just…

Hi we have moved to a fantastic house on the endge of a great village. Although it is a development of new houses it is still very quaint. Any seeds for planting right now?
I'm just wondering whether there is anything by way of seed sowing I could be getting on with during the winter rather than waiting for the 'spring rush'. I'm thinking particularly with regard to summer bedding or a perennial which might flower in its first year. Any ideas, anyone?

Help identifying a house plant
I bought 2 house plants off the market a couple of weeks ago but I have no idea what they are! Onion & Garlic Eating Pest(s)
I don't know if anyone can give me some advice. I've been given a quarter of an acre of farm land to grow on. I've got something or several things pulling out the Japanese onions and eating them.
