Mespilus Germ. Neflier Tree. any ideas?

Hi.folks
Can anyone tell me anything about a tree called
MESPILUS GERM. NEFLIER
My sister was given one of these trees and she has no idea how to look after it.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

  • It's a medlar. A smallish tree, but wide spreading, so it needs some space. It has large white flowers in late spring followed by brown fruits which are an acquired taste! You need to leave them to "blet", which means almost rot, before they are edible. They are nice garden trees which don't need any particular attention.

    Hope this helps.
  • Excellent. Thank you very much.
